Como venían apuntando los rumores, se trata de un terminal que vuelve a los orígenes de tamaño reducido del iPhone con una pantalla sin marcos de 5,4 pulgadas.</p>

<h2 style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 1.43em; max-width: 100%;">iPhone 12 mini: la potencia de siempre en el menor tamaño de la familia que recuerda al iPhone 5</h2>
<p style="max-width: 100%;">El apellido "mini" supone, tras el Mac mini y el iPad mini, un regreso a aquel mítico iPod. Se trata de una nomenclatura que generalmente ha significado "de menor tamaño", y otras, también, "menos potente", salvo en casos como el del iPad mini 2, que compartía corazón con su coetáneo iPad Air. En este caso, estamos ante un caso similar, pues <strong style="max-width: 100%;">el iPhone 12 mini será potenciado por el mismo A14 Bionic que sus hermanos y el iPad Air 4</strong>. Mini en tamaño, pero no en capacidad, como también le ocurría al iPhone SE.</p>

<p style="max-width: 100%;">En cuanto a pantalla, Apple ha dicho adiós finalmente a los paneles LCD IPS con los que ha contado desde los primeros modelos, para abrazar la tecnología OLED en toda su gama. El iPhone 12 mini vuelve a ser pequeño aquí, pero no inferior en calidad de imagen, pues Apple también bautiza su pantalla como <strong style="max-width: 100%;">Super Retina XDR</strong>, un nombre heredado de la pantalla de los iPhone 11 Pro. Como su predecesor, es capaz de mostrar contenido HDR con Dolby Vision, bajo un espectro de color P3 que cubre mayor rango que el tradicional sRGB. El nivel de brillo máximo, ahora alcanza los 1.200 nits.</p>

<p style="max-width: 100%;">A nivel de protección de pantalla, Apple habla de que sus nuevos terminales cuentan con un "escudo cerámico" que mejora cuatro veces la resistencia a caídas. Como novedad dentro del cuerpo, el iPhone 12 mini es compatible con <a href="https://www.applesfera.com/accesorios/nuevos-cargadores-magsafe-carga-inalambrica-iphone-ahora-tambien-magnetica-llega-muchos-accesorios" style="color: rgb(65, 110, 210); max-width: 100%; text-decoration: underline;">MagSafe</a>, el nuevo sistema de carga inalámbrica del iPhone, que ahora es magnética, como la del Apple Watch.</p>

<p style="max-width: 100%;">En el iPhone 12 mini, <strong style="max-width: 100%;">Apple ha apostado por mantener la esencia del <em style="max-width: 100%;">set</em> fotográfico del iPhone 11</strong>. Esto es, un sensor principal con lente gran angular y un segundo con lente ultra gran angular. Eso sí, hay mejoras importantes en ellas. Veamos qué ha cambiado.</p>

<p style="max-width: 100%;">El sensor principal sigue siendo de 12 megapíxeles, algo que choca con casi todo lo que está haciendo la industria. Para ganar luz, Apple ha aumentado la apertura de f/1.8 a f/1.6, manteniendo la estabilización óptica de imagen. Según Apple, esto mejora la captura de luz en un 26%. Además, la cámara ahora está compuesta por una lente de 7 elementos.</p>

<p style="max-width: 100%;">A nivel de software, Apple ha presentado la tercera generación de su HDR mejorado, <strong style="max-width: 100%;">Smart HDR 3, y como función estrella de la fotografía computacional, han mejorado el modo noche</strong>, que ahora llega también a la lente ultra gran angular. El iPhone 12 mini, como sus hermanos, también recibe <strong style="max-width: 100%;">timelapses con modo noche</strong>, que Apple ha mostrado en vídeo y ofrecen, aparentemente, grandes resultados.</p>

<p style="max-width: 100%;">El iPhone 12 es capaz de grabar vídeo en 4K a 60 fps con HDR en Dolby Vision, el HDR con metadatos más avanzado del mercado, que permite capturar las altas luces y las sombras con una gran fidelidad.</p>
